Would you like to include placenta encapsulation into your postpartum recovery journey?

A way to nourish mother after birth

My preparation method purposefully follows Traditional Medicine philosophy of being warming in nature. Bringing warmth to the body while the womb is healing is vital for recovery.

Placenta encapsulation is a rapidly growing postpartum support option. Widely known through anecdotal stories from mothers who have been through postpartum and report on the difference encapsulation made for them. From all walks of life, more mothers are choosing encapsulation, discovering for themselves these reported emotional resilience and recovery benefits.

My unique approach emphasises all things Spirit. While working, I focus with gratitude on the service of the placenta. Being aware of the importance of intentionality; how I feel, what I think, the potency of my energy field while working is invaluable. I have deep reverence for the Rite of Passage a woman goes through during birth, I am honoured to bring this service to her in this precious time in her life.

Many mothers are including placenta encapsulation into their postpartum recovery plan. With natural iron, amino acids and hormones and over 14 trace minerals like magnesium, zinc and selenium, the placenta has been found to retain bioactive compounds following dehydration.

Summary of Service

I collect the placenta within 12 hours of notification that it is ready. I then process the placenta and return the bottle of capsules within 36 hours of collection. If you also requested an umbilical cord dreamcatcher, this will be supplied within 2 weeks of collection, either by drop off or postage.

Service area includes Brisbane and Northside of Brisbane (Moreton Bay Region).

For additional travel, I can also attend Logan, Ipswich and Sunshine Coast.

Cord Dreamcatcher

A beautiful option as an umbilical cord keepsake is to have the cord dried and woven into a dreamcatcher. In Native American tradition, such as the Ojibwe, these dreamcatchers were created for their infants to ensnare unpleasant dreams whilst allowing new life in through the central opening. The cord, once the transport for nourishment of your baby, can be woven into a bespoke dreamcatcher talisman to keep watch as baby sleeps.

Dreamcatchers have been a way for me to connect creatively to my own Native American heritage. It is my pleasure to share it with you!

Process Specifics

The umbilical cord will be dried in a circular shape and fixer applied. Then the dreamcatcher will be woven around it in ceremony. There are a few options regarding colour palette which can be confirmed on the order form.

This service can be accessed as an optional extra to your placenta encapsulation or as a stand-alone service, providing you can supply the umbilical cord within 72 hours after the birth (it must be kept moist as it will begin to dry out).

Service includes postage with expected timeframe between 1 week to 2 weeks from when I receive the cord.
